Using Tzplan in three steps.
Add participants
For each person, type a name, a city (start typing and select from the dropdown), and their working hours. Check "Skip weekends" if their week is Monday–Friday. Click Add participant to add them to the list. You can add as many people as you need — the grid adapts.
Read the overlap grid
The grid shows the next seven days, hour by hour. Green cells mean everyone is available. Amber means the slot works for some but not all — hover to see who is missing. Red means nobody is available. Any daylight-saving transition in the window is flagged above the grid automatically.
Pick a slot and share it
Click any green or amber cell to see every participant's local time. Use Copy all to copy the times to your clipboard, or Download slot as CSV to save a file. Paste the times into your calendar invite.

Is Tzplan really free? No hidden costs?
Yes, completely free. There is no account, no sign-up, no trial, no credit card, and no paid tier. Every feature — unlimited participants, DST detection, CSV export, free-text IANA entry — is available to everyone. There is no server backend to pay for: your browser does all the work using its own time zone database.
Can I save my participant list and come back later?
No. Tzplan is deliberately transient. Everything runs in your browser and nothing survives closing the tab. There is no server, no database, and no account to store data against. If you manage the same group regularly, note down the names and time zones — adding them takes about 30 seconds. A future feature (team accounts with saved schedules) would require a server backend that does not exist yet.
Does Tzplan work with Google Calendar or Outlook?
No. Tzplan does not connect to any calendar service. It does not read your existing meetings or know when you are busy. It answers a different question: "which hours in the next week would work for everybody if they were free?" Use Tzplan before you create the calendar event — then copy the resulting times into your calendar app manually.
What cities and time zones are supported?
The city database covers 200+ major cities across every inhabited continent. If your city is not in the list, type any IANA time zone name directly — for example America/Denver, Asia/Kolkata, Pacific/Auckland. The tool uses your browser's built-in time zone database, so it supports every zone your browser knows (typically 500+ zones).
How does the DST detection work?
When any participant's time zone has a daylight-saving transition (spring-forward or fall-back) inside the seven-day window, Tzplan displays a yellow notice above the grid naming the date, the zone affected, and the shift. This matters because a recurring meeting scheduled before a transition can silently shift by an hour after the change. Tzplan flags it visibly so you can decide whether to adjust the time.
Can I bookmark the app with my participants already filled in?
No. Tzplan does not use URL parameters or local storage for participant data (by design — no data persists). Bookmarking the page will load a fresh empty tool. If you have a recurring team, we recommend keeping a quick reference note of their cities and hours so you can re-enter them in seconds.
What Tzplan does not do (and may never do).
Transparency matters: here is exactly where the gaps are, which are architectural (no server), which are by design, and which might change.
- ✗ No calendar integration. Tzplan cannot read from or write to Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, or any other calendar service. This is an architectural limit — the tool has no server and no API. It will not change unless a server-hosted tier is built.
- ✗ No email or invitation sending. There is no email sender on this site. You must copy times and paste them into your calendar or messaging app manually.
- ✗ No real availability. The grid shows what is inside the working hours you entered. If a participant has a conflicting meeting, a doctor's appointment, or a public holiday, that is invisible to Tzplan. You enter the constraints; the tool shows the arithmetic.
- ✗ No persistence. Close the tab and everything resets. No accounts, no saved teams, no history. This is deliberate — it guarantees your data never leaves your browser — but it means you re-enter participants each visit.
- ✗ Mock checkout only. The pricing page shows a Stripe checkout connected in test mode. It will not charge any real card. No paid tier exists today. If a paid tier is introduced for server-hosted features, payment terms will be published clearly before any charge is taken.
- ✗ City database may omit smaller locations. The built-in city list covers major cities. If yours is not present, use the free-text IANA zone input — it accepts any valid zone name. The zone-to-offset data is from your browser, not from us, and is generally authoritative.
